The Take the Step event was developed by a network of organizations as a unique response to the employment needs identified during ETHNN's community needs assessment.

The purpose of Take the Step is to:
1. Provide a venue to connect job seekers with providers of employment resources. 2. Facilitate the development of job skills among job seekers that align with the needs of local employers. 3. To provide resources to the community |
The objectives of Take the Step are:
1. Decrease employment barriers. 2. Enhance employment skills. 3. Improve employment retention. |
The 2023 CCNA data showed that the top 10 employment and/or work-related needs identified by survey participants are presented in the table below. The top three needs were job skills training, work clothes, and equipment needed for work such as a computer.
