2016 Comprehensive Community Needs Assessment
Much of our work is guided by the results of a Comprehensive Community Needs Assessment (CCNA). The purpose of the assessment is to discover and understand the unique needs of our community as they relate to education, employment, healthcare, housing, and transportation. Understanding the nature and extent of poverty in our area is extremely important to the well being of our community today and in the future.
EAST TEXAS COMMUNITIES ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2016 COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT
The East Texas Human Needs Network (ETHNN) is excited to announce that we are conducting the 2016 Comprehensive Community Needs Assessment (CCNA). The anonymous study will take place from July 18th to July 29th, 2016 and a final report will be released in December, 2016. All East Texas Communities are invited to participate. COLLECTION PERIOD HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO AUGUST 31.
The purpose of the CCNA is to discover the unique needs of each of our communities and the East Texas region as a whole, as they relate to education, employment, healthcare, housing, and transportation. Understanding the nature and extent of poverty is extremely important to the wellbeing of our community today and in the future. The results ensure that non-profits, governments, and businesses have a common tool for planning and collaborative efforts.
What you need to do
Submit 1. a signed Memorandum of Understanding and 2. a Partner Information form by July 8th. 3. Ensure staff and volunteers who are conducting interviews are registered for the July 15th training. Conduct interviews from July 18th through the 29th. COLLECTION PERIOD HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO AUGUST 31ST.
If you ask ten people what the greatest need is in your community, you are likely to get ten different responses. How then, can you work collectively towards positive impact? The results of the CCNA will provide both the current status and the greatest needs in your community in the areas of education, employment, healthcare, housing, and transportation. Once you know the top needs, you can work together toward solutions.
ETHNN was established in September 2012 as a response to meet needs of enormous scale that transcend the capacity of individual agencies. We are diverse organizations and individuals working together for strengthened programs, connection and improved awareness of services that meet essential human needs.
